I considered using the stroker pistons I have with that crank and 5.7" rods. Mark said it would wear the bores out quickly, so I guess 424 ci will do.

Yes, Smokey Yunic always said, "put the longest damn connecting rod you can"
Easier on the cylinder walls and the piston dwells longer at TDC.

All I can say is DrDan has a lot of cha-ching $$ in this engine. He must have faith in the 403s if built correctly. I'd shift this engine @ 5,400 and whatever it sings to it the traps, so be it. I'd error on the side of caution but that's just me.
