Pro-shocks 3 way adjustable shocks.

425 Olds all forged bottom end, A heads ported and milled , Torker intake port matched, Cam Motion solid flat tappet cam 252/260 @.050 .570 lift cam,
20 gallon fuel cell, Pypes exhaust with Hooker headers

I'll be upgrading to a set of ported Edelbrock heads with a new Torker intake ported to match. I want to be able to use a EFI system because I drive the car to cruise nights more than I take it to the track. I also have a built 200-4r that I'll be switching, just need to figure out what converter to run. I'm upgrading the brakes on the front with the 2wd blazer ones.

A-heads are 1965 heads. Are you still running the original one year big block only valve train? They look like their adjustable but not. Is this a 45 degree 1965/66 block? I'm getting ready to put a 1965 425+ 0.030. I sold the A-heads. I plan on using big valved B or C's. Have you any time slips, just curious. Thanks.

Yes it is the 1965 45 degree block. The heads have been ported and milled between 66-68cc. The fastest the car has been in quarter is 11.56 off of foot brake. 12:1 compression. This is a photo of when it had a Victor Jr intake on it.

Jmo here, from personal experience. Don't necessarily expect a large improvement with Edelbrock heads. 461 cu.in with iron G heads, big valved, backcut, sodium filled, ported/filled crossovers/milled yada yada. Car ran 11:23. Chanded to Mondello cryogenic frozen/ported Edelbrock head$, one of the first 50 he sold. 70#s lighter, car ran 11:17. So, basically my way of thinking is the heads weren't the "bottleneck." Your results may differ.

I honestly have a 468 short block in the garage that was my original plan for 1986 442 that the aluminum heads and intake were going on. I got the Calais earlier last year and sold the 442. I'd like to run the car on 93 in the car I currently have which means I need to lower the compression. I had work done to the Edelbrock Heads and intake so I figured I would switch. The 750 race carb on it with out a choke. I want to use a Holley EFI

Okey doky, sounds good because you have them. I pumped a lot of money over the years into heads, mostly iron. Back then only Battens were available and you needed to buy the intake plus exhaust flanges and have a set of headers made. Rather than one LARGE purchase I sunk smaller(but still sizeable) amount into iron heads. In my opinion, biting the bullet and getting the Batten setup would have been the best performance wise. Imo Battens were the best.
