Anyone know what happened to Quaz from the old forum?

He's on FB, and is a FB friend of Beeterolds. Matt Willard I believe is his name. He was a hack of the highest accord and I had no problem telling him so. I just had to shake my head at some of the penny chicken wire fixes he presented on the old group.

Anyone have Qjet choke linkage bend and jam?

There is def something wrong... I see what appears to be some metal plate or something holding the fast idle in the wrong spot.

Yes but the owner of 442.com (Steve Kenny I think is his name) said he's working on a full revamp with corrections. I offered to help. Crickets. All I can hope for is some of the internet rumors and Olds mythology are laid to rest for good once it's fixed.

This is a Cloyes 9 position chain. It degreed at 116 straight up. I contacted Mark Remmel (Cutlassefi) who I bought the cam from and I asked if that was fine or change it. I advanced it 4 deg from there to get the 112 spot on. He said I could go 2 more for better low range but I left it...

Build in progress. 455 .060 over, Speed Pro Forged pistons, Erson Hi Flo AH cam, C heads 2.07/1.62 stainless valves, performer intake and a refurbished Qjet as the cherry on top. Going into a 69 Vista Cruiser. This will literally haul ass. At least 6 of them.

Anyone have Qjet choke linkage bend and jam?

The choke spring isn't strong enough to bend that rod. Something is binding or put together incorrectly. Got some pics of the choke area?

    Recommendation and Feedback thread.

The previous edition had a feedback section for guys to "rate" transactions between buyer and seller. Come to think of it, I see this edition doesn't even have a "For Sale" section at all though. Is that going to be added, or no For Sale at all here? Also I'd like to have a thread for product...

Hence the need for catagories. "General Tech". No one (will) searches for anything anyway. "It's too hard". So it turns into a free for all, with no control and mostly bad information. At least relegate the stuff to catagories in an effort to keep it straight. Even the terrible FAQ at...

Then it would be like trying to find info on Facebook with the same question regurgitated in the groups weekly. Like "which cam?".

You need a spec page. Torque specs, measurements, drawings and other factory data. Similar to the old FAQ, but.. accurate. I know a guy or three that might could provide that stuff.
