Trying to decide on which headers to buy

Ok, so I have been looking at swapping the exhaust on 70S back onto my 88 Cutlass, sounded so much better on it. I could put the less than 2" dual exhaust with 260 manifolds back on car. The Thornton shorty's will only bolt on to the driver's side. Either was Thornton shorties are $450 Canadian shipped plus $200 for down pipes. Or Hooker Comp headers ceramic coated are $800 CAD shipped. Only the rust quickly Flowtech or eBay stainless headers are the only affordable options.

I finally found some pics of the Chinese Stainless eBay headers installed on a 72 Cutlass with an Olds 350. They hang a bit low but my car has similar ground clearance, they should be no problem. I would probably get the ball and socket 3" collector, go 2.5" pipes with the most affordable Turbo mufflers. I can do it all for about $400, compared to $1000. For $230 Canadian shipped, those headers are a no brainier. I am hoping a full size starter will work.

Sorry, the 70S. The Sanderson shorties with custom bent 2.5" down pipes into a compact 2.5" X pipe all under the passenger hump then the back half of a Hooker 2.5" cat back exhaust is going back on the 88. The poor 260 needs all the help it can get, this system really made a difference past 3000 RPM and was very slightly stronger down low and sounded beyond great. It was droning and just didn't sound the same on the 70S. I need the mini starter I have for 88 due to the down pipe routing. I have two full size starters I want to use. My 88 has squat for ground clearance compared to my 70S, I still got occasional scrapes on my 88 but have since put on 1" taller front tires. I seriously have about 6" of ground clearance with the 70S. I want cheap exhaust, I finally want to get my 403 block to the machine shop and finally assemble the 424 stroker short block this year, so the most affordable is best, not a $1000 exhaust. Has anyone tried the ball and socket adapter, will it work with regular style collectors? Otherwise I will go Copper or Aluminum collector gaskets and may still have Cooper manifold gasets I would coat with RTV.
