In case you don't know, here's a link to the "442 FAQ's" there's a lot of information even though some of it is "opinion". As Oldsmobile people we're happy for all the info we can get.

Yes but the owner of 442.com (Steve Kenny I think is his name) said he's working on a full revamp with corrections. I offered to help. Crickets. All I can hope for is some of the internet rumors and Olds mythology are laid to rest for good once it's fixed.

Hmmm, Olds mythology? I don't know anything about that. Btw, I'm looking for a solid main 403 block, the one Mondello talks about in his Oldsmobile manual. He says they come in 1978/79 station wagons. Also.😀 what headers will fit a 1970/72 Cutlass Supreme? They say the engine is offset from the regular Cutlass/442. Now what's this about Olds mythology?
