get a test light. connect the hot/positive wire to the test light, then ground the test light to complete your circuit. hold it all in place and hit your switch up or down. if your test light works, that means that the switch functions properly. your problem is in the wires after the switch or the power window motor itself. repeat this process with the other wires as well

first of all, great camera you have there. nice clear pics.

the first pic you have i compared to my passenger side window switch. where you have your tan wire; i have my solid blue wire, that is the tallest prong. where you have your solid blue wire, i have my pink wire. that wire is a hot wire. up above that you have a dark brown or black wire, i have my tan wire there. beside there you have your light blue wire, at that spot sits my dark brown wire. the last wire you have is sitting on the back side at a different angle than all the rest. this is where i have my blue wire with the white stripe.

i used a test light to see what circuits lite up when i used the switch. up; was MY pink wire and solid blue. down; was pink wire and dark brown. the other wires had no power going or coming from them while i was testing. but i was only using the passenger's switch to function my window. maybe if i had used the driver's switch the other wires might have served a purpose. remember you got to have the car on run to get power for the window.

one more note, my car is a 83 calais. the wiring 'might' be different depending on your year.
good luck
